MARQUETTE, Mich. – Northern Michigan strength & conditioning coaches Jenna Bruttomesso and Alex Morse have announced a series of youth and middle school performance camps taking place this summer. The camps span seven weeks beginning on June 16th until August 7 and will be divided into K-2, 3-6, and middle school sessions. 

Led by Bruttomesso and Morse, who both possess a Master’s Degree and are certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, these programs bring elite-level experience to youth and middle school performance training. 

K-2nd graders

What: Functional movement through fun play and games (skipping, running, jumping, throwing,

etc.). No weight training.

Dates: June 16 – August 7 (7 weeks)

Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Times: 8:45 – 9:15 a.m.

Where: NMU Campus – Superior Dome

Price: $200

3rd-6th graders

What: Functional movement through fun, competitive play and games (skipping, running,

jumping, throwing, etc.). No weight training.

Dates: June 16 – August 7 (7 weeks)

Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Times: 9:15 – 9:45 a.m.

Where: NMU Campus – Superior Dome

Price: $200

Middle Schoolers

What: Introduction to Sports Performance including plyometrics, agility, speed and weight training.

Dates: June 16 – August 7 (7 weeks)

Days: Tuesday and Thursday

Times: 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Where: NMU Campus – Superior Dome

Price: $200

Registration deadline: One week prior to start date. Spots are limited.

All participants will need to bring athletic shoes, a water bottle, and a post-session snack. Be ready to have FUN!
