  1. X’s revenues and profits collapsed in the UK in the year after Elon Musk took over the social media platform, the company has admitted.

A decline in advertising spending amid concerns about “brand safety and/or content moderation” were cited as the reason for the fall, according to accounts filed this week to Companies House.

‘Why don’t companies want to be associated with an authoritarian cry-baby that whines for unilateral free speech?’ It’s a mystery, I tell you, a mystery.

  3. Don’t worry, X will soon serve half the world’s financial services, at least that’s what Elon Musk has promised

  4. Twitter only ever made money from advertising and he completely ruined any chance of bringing in more advertising money so this is obvious.

Who cares? It’s now a training source for an AI play valued at $80bn. Ad revenue is old news.

Our social media team just restructured partly due to the fact that nobody is using Twitter anymore. We just don’t get anywhere near the volume of comms or interactions we used to.

It’s an absolute toilet, so it’s no real surprise but I thought people would still log on there to complain.

How on Earth did they still manage to turn a profit despite income dropping by £135 million?

  8. It probably no longer matters given his role in DOGE and how Trump is manipulating the markets.

He has far too much power.

Do what I do and help contribute towards the cesspit: add nothing of substance, call everyone a r*tard and contradict every talking point with absolute right wing garbage.

It helps my mental health and it’s good to know it’s working towards a positive goal as well – getting rid of Musks wealth.

  10. Every time I hear about Musk and his businesses my mind jumps to Homer Simpson designing the car, The Homer.

You mean the Nation that actually fought the Nazis from the start….doesn’t like Nazis?

    How odd…

Not likely ever forgiving him for his role in signal boosting the far right riots last year

That’s where things went from internet shitposter billionaire to real world fears and consequences.

Had Muslim family that didn’t even leave the house for a few weeks during those riots they were that terrified. So much property destruction vandalism burning. Set community relations back a ton.

We should be focused on things that bring the country together. Like maybe a wealth tax to pay for infrastructure fixes. Or a movement to push towards doing that in a way that doesn’t cause capital flight.

But instead the right wing talk about “immos” constantly while happy to see foreign billionaires get less taxes and foreign wealth sink it’s teeth into buying up and dismantling the UK

  13. I work for a social media agency and every single one of our clients has dropped X. It’s just not a place worth investing time or money into.

  14. I mean I held a Twitter account for what could possibly be 15+ years.. when Musk took over I kept swearing to delete it. Then the site really started to go to shit and he got into politics and whilst I was really disappointed I just continue to be a user on the site any more and deleted my account. It’s been surprisingly easy to let go honestly.

  15. A mate of mine works in online marketing. They said they stopped advertising on X shortly after Elon took over, when he fired most of the people my mate was working with who dealt with the accounts.

Literally no one I know uses it any more. Too many bots and content appearing that people have no interest in.
