Former University of Louisville basketball star Donovan Mitchell is having quite the year.The Cleveland Cavalier guard is helping his team make a run at another NBA Championship this season, and he’s being recognized for his impact on the court, and off.Mitchell was named to Esquire’s Mavericks of Sports list.He made the list alongside other superstar athletes and coaches such as Paul Skenes, Lindsey Vonn, Caleb Williams, Megan Rapinoe and Sue Bird, Naomi Girma, Dan Hurley, and Nate Burleson.In his interview with Esquire, Mitchell discussed his team’s championship aspirations, the origin of his nickname “Spida,” and a new gym he opened for students at his alma mater Greenwich Country Day School.To read Mitchell’s full interview with Esquire, click here.
