Not that Nardwaur could move the needle, I’m still curious why the Conservative Party never takes an interview with him.
It’s a pretty softball interview mainly focused on discussing old records.

I really don’t think Nardwaur would be unfair to Poilievre. His focus would be to make the interview fun, as he always does. It would be a chance for Poilievre to show he’s not a jerk, as he always comes off as. To be down to earth and not in politician mode. But no, ALWAYS the attack dog. It’s how he is.

It goes to show he has no confidence in his himself, friends, family, or people from his past if he’s too embarrassed by what Nardwaur would dig up and air.

Not surprising. Poilievre seems to be an unlikeable, unfunny prick with no substance, personality, or interests outside of the angry political realm he has nurtured. An interview such as this would only serve to prove that point.

I watched both Jagmeet and Mark, love how they showed a clip of Harper goons taking him away. That is all you need to know about Pierre stance.

The problem with modern conservative masculinity is that it is so insecure that they can’t even entertain the notion of possible being the butt of some joke, being seen as not cool or commanding or out of control. Despite the fact that they do this at every presser for free.
Conservatives melt down if they can’t tell if they are being laughed with or at. These interviews require some degree of vulnerability and unpredictability. You won’t catch a Con dead doing one of these until they stop being insecure incels which is probably a few election cycles away. Or it’s not firmly entrenched in western conservative culture now.
At least we have the awkward JJ interview where they try to subtlely sniff eachothers farts.

PP’s demand that Nardwuar alter his customary sign off to “keep on rockin in the authoritarian ethnostate” is holding things up.

Not surprised. Nardwaur’s interview preparation is more thorough than a CSIS security screening process, lmao. If PP won’t sign up to get his secret clearance, no way in hell would he agree to Nardwaur. He’d find skeletons even PP wasn’t aware of.

Maybe he is doing himself a favour. It seems like knowing PP is to detest him. And letting the public see the real Pierre be himself is a bad idea if you want to get elected.

Hard disagree. People don’t like him more when they know him better. Astute for his team to understand that, unfortunate for everyone else.

I’d love to hear the excuse why not considering Brian Lilley is far bellow Nardwuar for credibility and Pierre can’t get enough of him.
Really doesnt help the “afraid of the media” narrative.

This isn’t me trying to be snide or anything, it’s a legitimate question. Can anyone describe Poilievre’s personality?
He’s made such a deliberate effort to shut out the media and only present himself when he’s using MAGA tactics, buzzwords and attacking the Liberals. I genuinely cannot get a read on his personality, only the image he’s trying to project. Would someone like this do well with the Nardwuar or any other personality-based interview situation?

Millenial here. I’d never heard of the Nardwuar before all of these recent episodes with Jagmeet and Carney. Can someone explain Nardwuar to me? It seems unbelievably cringe and unfunny.. curious what the overall appeal or history is around this.

That’s because Nardwuar would find out the reason he refuses to get security clearance and drop it mid interview.
