Greece has emerged as an excellent example among EU member-states in relation to the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism, said Siegfried Muresan, head of the European Parliament’s Working Group on the Scrutiny of the RRF, on Wednesday.

The MEP was speaking at the conclusion of a three-day visit to Greece by the six-member working group to review the country’s application of Recovery and Resilience Fund (RRF) resources used in the national RRF plan “Greece 2.0.”

He referred to two major projects the delegation visited: the Independent Power Transmission Operator’s Center of Extra High Voltage on Koumoundourou Street, and the DEMO Pharmaceuticals company.

The center is being upgraded to boost the energy system’s security and raise the capacity of electricity production, while DEMO is benefiting from investments in research and development funded by the RRF.

“These provide clear examples of Greece’s success in utilizing EU funding, leading to real results,” Muresan said.
