The session on the constitution of the Assembly, here’s what Gërvalla says
The leader of the “Guxo” party, Donika Gërvalla, has declared herself optimistic that the Kosovo Assembly will be constituted today.
Shortly before the constitutive session resumed, Donika Gërvalla said that if the opposition is willing not to block the constitutive session, “they will continue with the foreseen procedures,” reports KosovaPressThe “Guxo” party was in a pre-election coalition with Vetëvendosje in the February 9 elections.
“Today we also have the continuation of the session. If the opposition is ready today not to block the continuation with the foreseen procedures, we are very optimistic and committed to continuing this session today,” said Gërvalla., transmits KosovaPress.
The continuation of the constitutive session is scheduled to begin today at 12:00.

The chairman of the session, Avni Dehari, adjourned the session due to the failure to vote on the report on the confirmation of mandates. There were 52 deputies in favor, 46 against, and 11 deputies who abstained.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo, the Democratic League of Kosovo, and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo voted against the temporary committee’s report. Meanwhile, deputies from the Vetëvendosje Movement and Nisma voted in favor of the report.
The leader of the Vetevendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, has called it “an attack on the institution and democratic elections.”
We remind you that after the constitution of the Assembly, the Government mandate holder from the first winning party, the Vetëvendosje Movement, has 15 days, as provided for by the Constitution, from the date of the mandate, to use the time to secure the necessary votes for the government, which must have at least 15 votes.
In the event of failure to form a government, it is up to the second party, PDK, to take the mandate to form the government.
