Is that the same Boris Johnson who praised Trump when he was PM? The same man who pursued a trade deal with Trump while he was PM?
A broken clock is right twice a day, but still Boris Johnson is awful and should remain irrelevant.

The original headline could have omitted the final 3 words and been just as correct, and less partisan

Of course. The White House is now the Kremlin-upon-Potomac.

Just because he’s right about this doesn’t make him any less of a disaster of a man. Even the blind squirrel sometimes finds a nut.

Well obviously, they lost. Their options are;
1. Keep fighting and lose completely
2. Sign a peace and keep what they have
Unless they can voodoo 500,000 extra troops that calculus isn’t changing.

That’s not strictly true BJ. They get fucking shafted.

The same Boris that was pushing for Vlads friend Trump to be elected for a second time …

Of course, his support of Ukraine is the only positive thing he left behind if they lose like this he’s cemented as the second worst PM of all time.

Joris Bohnson is right. I guess a broken clock is right twice a day. Still sucks though.

The harsh reality is, it gets to keep what it’s got & not lose anymore, if it had accepted the march 2022 Istanbul peace deal which Johnson was instrumental in scuppering it would have lost less land, 500,000 lives & had a clear pathway to the EU.
The US & NATO threw everything they had at Russia only just avoiding direct confrontation from 2022 until late 2024, Ukraine went backwards.
Fatboy together with Schultz, Macron & the hideous architect of this mess the US State departments Victoria Nuland are responsible for this disaster

Boris is not someone to follow for everything and it pains me to say this but when it comes to geopolitics and war – he hasn’t wavered on Putin or Ukraine.

The US isn’t interested in protecting Ukraine. And even if they say they are, Trump can’t be trusted.
Europe is on its own.

Trump is Putin’s lapdog. He’ll do what he’s told and wag his tail like a good little boy

How about; ‘O.K Vlad; you can keep Crimea…and ONLY Crimea….but NATO troops get stationed in Ukraine. If you want to keep all captured territory; Ukraine gets instant NATO membership.’.
Art of the deal.

I have no love at all for Boris but in this case he understands the morality of the situation and true to his privileged upbringing he will not stand for this. It seems only the upper classes and true revolutionaries have the level of undiluted belligerence required to stand up to this level of injustice. Any right minded person with a steady moral compass should be furious about the treatment of the sovereign state of Ukraine.
