SKOPJE (N. Macedonia), April 24 (SeeNews) – The World Bank said it expects North Macedonia’s gross domestic product (GDP) to increase by 2.6% in 2025, lowering its January projection by 0.4 percentage points.
North Macedonia’s GDP growth is expected to slightly accelerate to 2.7% in 2026, the World Bank said in its latest Economic Update for Europe and Central Asia report on Wednesday.
The Western Balkans’ economies are seen expanding by 3.2% in 2025, following an estimated 3.5% regional economic growth in 2024.
On Tuesday, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said it expects North Macedonia’s economy to grow by 3.2% in 2025.
North Macedonia’s economy expanded by 2.8% in 2024, after growing by 2.1% the previous year, the government has said earlier.
