The first session of Kosovo’s newly elected parliament collapsed Tuesday, delaying the formation of a new government and risking a snap election.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s party won 48 of 120 seats in February’s election, making it the largest group in the assembly though short of a majority. But the inaugural meeting of legislators was thrown into chaos and then suspended after opposition representatives said Kurti and his ministers had failed to resign their posts in time in line with the constitution.
