Why’s the watchdog in the toilets? Fucking creep.

Fr though, I’ll continue to pee wherever I want, thanks.

I’m looking forward to the outrage at a bearded trans man using the ladies’ toilet as the law now seems to suggest.

I’m not looking forward to boyish looking females being harassed by the self-appointed toilet police.

  3. I’m so glad every other issue facing the nation has been solved, it would be a horrific waste of time and resources if section 28 and ¾ was taking up this much time when the NHS was falling to pieces and the cost of living was at a point the king found challenging

  4. This is a thing I encounter so little in my daily life and the media makes it seem like there’s a trans woman crouched around every street corner. Don’t we have bigger and more important things to deal with?

  5. Most of the hospitals I’ve been to have single unisex toilets.

So what the fuck are they on about exactly?

For everywhere else, unisex toilets seems to be the best way to solve this mess. Place cubicals everywhere. Went to a restaurant that had this setup and it was fine. Or are we, as a species, unable to wash hands next to a member of the opposite sex without getting horny?

It’s been said this before, and will doubtlessly say it again, transphobia is a middle class hobby prejudice whose results are these pointless unending arguments and policies that benefit no one and harm everyone.

The only reason it’s been shot into the stratosphere of media discourse is because it’s been funded with vast amounts of money from reactionary billionaires and right wing think tanks.

On the brightside this is basically unenforceable. If they were to try and enforce it, it would become very unpopular very quick, when inevitably cis people will be mistakenly bared from going to the toilet or be forced to show ID to have a piss. Hopefully this causes people to realise just how deranged terfs are that they are ready to make everyone’s life slightly worse to make trans people’s lives much worse.

  8. May I suggest some certain Cabinet members’ doorsteps as a friendly, gender-neutral bathroom for anybody affected by their exclusion and persecution?

  9. Meanwhile, the BMA conference today published this statement:

This meeting condemns the Supreme Court ruling defining the term ‘woman’ with respect to the Equality Act as being based on ‘biological sex’, which they refer to as a person who ‘was at birth of the female sex’, as reductive, trans and intersex-exclusionary and biologically nonsensical.

We recognize as doctors that sex and gender are complex and multifaceted aspects of the human condition and attempting to impose a rigid binary has no basis in science or medicine while being actively harmful to transgender and gender diverse people. As such this meeting:

    i. Reiterates the BMA’s position on affirming the rights of transgender and non-binary individuals to live their lives with dignity, having their identity respected.

ii. Reminds the Supreme Court of the existence of intersex people and reaffirms their right to exist in the gender identity that matches their sense of self, regardless of whether this matches any identity assigned to them at birth.

ill. Condemns scientifically illiterate rulings from the Supreme Court, made without consulting relevant experts and stakeholders, that will cause real-world harm to the trans, non-binary and intersex communities in this country.

iV. Commits to strive for better access to necessary health services for trans, non-binary and gender-diverse people.

  10. Why can’t we just all not give a fuck about any of these and really give a fuck about the main thing… Which is: whoever is using the toilet, please don’t fucking piss on the seat. And if you do, please clean it up. If we all cares about the how instead of the what we could all save a bit of tax payers money and start living life a little bit less… wet.

  11. Jesus we really have let common sense, being respectful and reasonable in the past haven’t we.

For me the only issues in regards to the trans discussions is access to “single sex safe places” such as women’s refuges and participation in sports.

Other than that the rest of it is utter shite that shouldn’t even be discussed due to it being utterly ridiculous.
