Submission statement: how do you think AI will affect politics going forward?
Maybe the government will start putting restrictions on it once it comes for their jobs in particular?
Or maybe the last positions to be given to AIs will be political leadership, so they won’t start doing anything about it until the very end, at which point it will be too late.

Nuha Hashem, co-founder of CozmoX, a UAE-based AI startup, as quoted by Al-Bawaba News: “In less than one day, based on the last 10 years of data, we could create an AI employee who can actually do the work of 100 people so those people can focus on productive work.”

The number of people unemployed is going to skyrocket. We need to establish some sort of safety net before a handful of people own 90% of everything … and the rest scrape by in poverty. But as the saying goes, “Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich”.

The study is from the “Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government” which uh, whatever their merits a business school, their expertise in AI or government job automation seems pretty dubious.
It appears that Dubai paid for this study, so it’s probably just a veneer to justify doing what they already wanted to do, fire all the front line customer service workers.
