There were some impressive statistical showings among boys athletes on the Northshore last week.

Nathan Babin, Pope John Paul II: The senior tossed a complete game, one-hitter with nine strikeouts during a 7-0 win over Houma Christian on April 25 to secure a Division III select second-round series sweep.
Brayden Calamari, Slidell: The senior hit two grand slams including a walk-off during a 8-4 win over Walker to secure a Division I nonselect second-round series sweep on April 26. He finished the game with eight RBIs at the plate and tossed 6.1 innings allowing two runs on six hits and five walks with seven strikeouts.
Patrick Kennedy, Hannan: The senior tossed a complete-game three-hitter to earn a 5-0 victory over Loranger and secure a Division II select second-round series sweep. He struck out five in 71 pitches.
Cohen Naramore, Ponchatoula: The junior once again broke the Green Wave’s all-time boys javelin record with a toss of 179 feet, 10 inches to take first place at the District 6-5A Meet on April 23.
Connor Smith, Northshore: The junior right-hander threw a no-hitter during a 4-0 win over Walker to secure a Division I nonselect second-round series victory on April 26. He struck out 11 and walked two in seven innings.
Brody Wonch, Covington: The junior archer earned a spot on the United States compound U18 team with a second-place finish at the 2025 World Archery Youth Championships/Jr. Pan Am Games U.S. Team Trials on April 23. He will compete at the World Archery Youth Championships in August.
