LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – WILX-TV 10 Co-Sports Director Tim Staudt is one of five finalists nominated in the media category for the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame class of 2025.

The Michigan Sports HOF 2025 ballot is now open for public vote. You may cast your vote now through May 23 and can vote just once per verified email account.

The Hall of Fame was created in 1954 by a group of influential Michiganders, including Lt. Governor Philip A. Hart and Michigan State University Athletic Director Biggie Munn. It is believed to be the oldest State Sports Hall of Fame in the United States, electing its inaugural Class in 1955.

The purpose of the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame is not only to recognize great athletes, but great promoters of athletics as well.

Other 2025 finalists with Mid-Michigan connections include former Michigan State Football Head Coach Mark Dantonio, former Spartan basketball star Jason Richardson and Ken Morrow, who was a member of the U.S. Olympic hockey team that won a gold medal in the “Miracle on Ice” game in 1980.
