Can’t even call it rage bait because…what else would they be?
Who would have thought? I’m sure they see themselves as pilloried victims of an exploitative system.
The same Tories who voted against homes fit for human habitation?
Labour campaigned on the renter’s reform bill, and nearly a year later it still hasn’t been implemented.
Meanwhile, the PIP reforms which nobody asked for is being put in place.
Conflict of interest. They shouldn’t be allowed to vote on it
Stuff like this is exactly why people want the house of lords to be abolished, and why they lost their ability block bills.
Which sucks, cause when it comes to issues where they’re not being greedy, self centered dicks they often make decent improvements or don’t cause problems.
This is what happens when renting is normalised and home ownership becomes out of reach for more and more people. People just want to live their damn lives and don’t want to restrict themselves just because society is set up to extract as much wealth as possible out of them through housing.
Probably everybody in the Lords is a landlord! They’re the last people who should be allowed to interfere.
1. How many are trying to retail it aren’t landlords?
2. There is absolutely a bias concern here, but how do we balance that against the fact they will have a better than average understanding of the rental market?
