Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has received a delegation from North Macedonia led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Zoran Dimitrovski, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.

The parties discussed the current level of bilateral and multilateral relations, as well as current issues on the regional and global agenda.

Bayramov informed the delegation of North Macedonia in detail about the realities in the South Caucasus region in the post-conflict period, the normalization process between Baku and Yerevan, as well as the factors hindering the conclusion of a final peace – territorial claims against Azerbaijan in the Constitution of Armenia and the issue of dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group.

“During the talks, satisfaction was expressed with the growing dynamics of high-level visits and contacts between the countries in recent times, the importance of the mechanism of political consultations between the foreign ministries in continuing and developing the interstate dialogue was noted,” the Foreign Ministry noted.

The ministry added that Bayramov also discussed with the delegation of North Macedonia the possibilities of cooperation in the sphere of economy and trade.

The parties noted the presence of broad prospects for the development of partnership in the areas of traditional and renewable energy, and noted with satisfaction the accession of North Macedonia to the number of countries supplied with natural gas from Azerbaijan.
