Norway’s index of manufacturing sector purchasing managers (PMI) fell in April to its lowest level since July 2020, hit by a decline in new orders, compilers DNB Markets and the NIMA logistics association said on Friday.
April PMI fell to 46.1 points on a seasonally adjusted basis from a downward revised 50.1 points in March, indicating a decline in manufacturing activity, DNB and NIMA said in a joint statement.
A PMI reading below 50 points signals a contraction in industrial output.
