This was only possible because Agha muhammad khan was assassinated, It would be fun to see how events would have unfolded if he was not assassinated, I do believe he had a much higher chance of resisting and even defeating russians compared to his untested nephew. On the other hand dude killed tons of Georgians and Armenians the first time around he invaded Tbilisi.
