The NFL schedule won’t be officially released until Wednesday, May 14th, which is the day that teams and fans can start circling their calendars for the upcoming season. But in the time between then and now, there will be leaks and information regarding the schedule that will be reported on. And on Thursday, we got our first taste.

NFL Will Host A Game In Madrid, Spain This Upcoming Season

While nothing has been made official by the league itself, there are multiple reports regarding a November matchup. According to sources, the Miami Dolphins will be the “home” team for a Week 11 game in Madrid, Spain, and will take on the Washington Commanders in an inter-conference battle as a part of the NFL International Series.

It will be the first NFL game ever played in the country of Spain. The International Series has been a part of the league’s regular season schedule since 2007, with London, England being the most-visited destination. But over the past few years, there has been an expansion, and cities like Munich, São Paulo, Frankfurt, Berlin, and Mexico City have been added to the list.

There will be two new locations for the 2025 season. Madrid is one of them, and the Miami Dolphins were selected as the home team a few months back. When the game will take place and who they’ll play has yet to be officially decided, but the leak saying that it will happen on November 16th against the Commanders has gained plenty of steam.
