The main benefits of Brexit continue to be the arrangements we already had in place inside the EU.

Aaaaaargh no! Queuing is British! We want longer, slower, preferably unending queues. This is a betrayal of Brexit.

Only had this problem in Germany. Flew to Rome last month and used the automatic EU gates just like in the old days.

God I hope this is in place by the time I go on holiday in September 😭

  5. How the fuck they’ve been using our gates the whole time but we haven’t been allowed to use theirs is beyond me

  6. This is ridiculous!! I demand Kafka intervene to inhibit my international travel. I need MORE barriers!!!

Personal experience travelling into eu using non eu gates has always been quick. So ill just continue to do that as its all passports haha.

Just put us back in the eu ffs.

  8. Not gonna lie, if Starmer pulls this one off Labour might just be guaranteed my vote – I’ve experienced the post brexit border controls

So just as the EU is about to introduce the computerised Entry Exit System that removes the requirement to stamp passports for non-EU nationals then the UK government negotiates a deal that allows British citizens to use the e-gates and not have their passports stamped, passports that wouldn’t be stamped anyway…

Now imagine if Boris had actually had a proper deal in the first god damn place…

And I bet they’ll conveniently forget about British National (Overseas) passport holders

Visited Majorca last week, all e-gates open for UK citizens. Definitely a country by country decision

I don’t mind not using e gates as I like filling up my passport with stamps

To be honest, I find the e-gates an absolute nightmare, even in Heathrow they rarely seem to work for me. I much preferred seeing an actual person.

A friend was boasting about their new Irish passport on facebook yesterday, 9 years after they voted for Brexit.

I travel a lot and some EU countries actually allow us to use them and I’ve never had any issues with not using them.

It’s honestly not that bad. Some countries that I’ve been to it was even quicker because everyone went to the e-gates with about dozen of us in the non EU line

Where is the mass exodus from the UK? Do people really think they don’t have opportunities to leave the UK?
