We are currently visiting Malta and in Valletta. Would love any help in finding the location from where this photo was taken during WWII. We were thinking possible it’s taken from Sliema side facing Valletta? But only a guess and wondered if anyone might recognise any features. Sorry it’s not a great photo. Thanks in advance!

Manoel Island in Marsamxett Harbour was a submarine base in the Second World War. This photo is taken in Pieta’ Creek, with the bastions of Sa Maison at the back. The wharf behind the submarine is Hay Wharf.
