    Italian Senate Passes Critical Resolution Urging Non-Recognition of “Georgian Dream” Government and Sanctions on Their Leaders

      – **Condemn Georgian Dream** for violently repressing protests and violating human rights, undermining years of democratic progress.

      – **Reject legitimacy of the Georgian Dream’s government**, formed after unfair and undemocratic elections on October 26, 2024.

      – **Do not recognize the Georgian Dream-controlled Parliament or President**; urge others to join in boycotting them.

      – **Avoid all cooperation with Georgian Dream authorities** that would imply political recognition.

      – **Demand new elections under fair conditions** with international oversight, and urge EU partners to do the same.

      – **Impose personal sanctions on Bidzina Ivanishvili**, his family, and his companies for undermining democracy.

      – **Sanction top officials** of the Foreign Ministry and Georgian ambassadors to EU countries.

      – **Sanction Georgian leaders** responsible for repression, election fraud, and disinformation, including media outlets like Imedi TV, PosTV, and Rustavi 2.

      – **Sanction Ivanishvili’s network**, including family members and business allies who support the regime.
