Before I took even my first Milky Way photo I imagined being in this place, I’ve been a few times now and it never ceases to amaze me. It’s called “El arrecife de las sirenas”, in Almería, Spain. Under this sky I’ve been able to pull out IC 4812, the dusty nebula to the left of the core, and I’m so proud about it because on the peninsula is quite difficult due to the latitude and it’s something more visible on La Palma.

This might be a silly way of looking at things idk, but, I’ve always felt a little bummed out when I realize that our eyes can’t actually see the Universe like this, in all the amazing colors and majestic gas cloud formations that long exposure and camera access to various spectra can produce. There’s just something about the ability of seeing these things with your own naked eyes that would just knock you out with it’s spectacular beauty, and it’s one thing I wish our eyes were better at :p
