      No idea why people are seething so much over this, who do you think Labour have to take voters from to win the GE, but then again the Puritans want to magically win despite never taking votes from the centre or the right.

      I have no idea why everyone on Reddit thinks this is some awful thing for Labour.

      Firstly, it’s weird that everyone just seems to be believing it’s clearly true and actually happened, without any evidence presented and the claim being made by a clearly vested individual.

      Secondly, even if it did happen then the Conservatives knew but covered it up, and therefore I just don’t see how it could possibly be perceived as a fuck up or something that reflects badly on Labour*.

      There is a lot of criticism towards accepting Elphicke that I understand, even if I don’t necessarily agree, but I just can’t wrap my head around why this lobbying claim is supposed to be a negative towards Starmer and the actions he took before the claim existed.

      Yawn…she’s a self publicist. For 6 months her interests align with Keith starmers…namely hurting sunak…she isn’t going to stand for labour again.

      Starmer should now refer her to the usual party/parliamentary procedures and dump her if she is fucking around. I’m sure he will.

      Luckily, this was all fine while she was a Conservative MP, and only became an issue when she defected to Labour.

      No MP should be able to change parties. How can you be a Tory with conservative values and agreeing with the Tory manifesto, to suddenly think “well actually after all these years I think I’m gonna be a leftie liberal” we all know she defected because she just wants to save her income. She’s a disgrace.
