Hi! We are staying near Jostedalsbreen national park for 3 days and we are looking for an advice on where to go. I know that in mid-June guided hikes on glaciers are not yet possible, so we are looking for an alternative.
Nothing hardcore, just your top 3 hikes for someone taking a 14 day road trip through Norway.

*On* the glacier, June is peak skiing season.

Also the area surrounding the glacier will have a lot of snow in June. To the degree that it will be hard to see where the glacier start, and what’s just a snow covered mountainside.

There is currently more than 4m of (less than 1 year old) snow on the glacier. And ~2m snow at the same elevation in the surrounding area.

*Please* consider going to another area if you’re interested in hiking. When certain activities are only available some parts of the year, there is usually a reason for that. If you want to see glaciers, go in August/September.

Flatbrehytta (steap hike), Nigardsbreen (easy hike) and maybe Molden (semi easy hike)
