So the toilets were closed as a result of being left unclean and vandalised, and were expensive to maintain.. But now that they will be changed to ‘temporary sleeping pods’, they will, somehow, not be left unclean, vandalised or expensive to maintain?

I have so many questions as to how these would work. I’m hoping they will be locked most of the time, and allocated to homeless people on an individual basis depending on needs. Leaving that person responsible for keeping it clean, but also ensuring their own safety.

I’m all for tackling homelessness. But this would need a lot of management, far more than a public toilet, for it to be safe and effective.

So frustrating we cant have more public toilets. I went to Copenhagen recently and they have them all over the place, and all kept clean because people appreciate the facilities

But no in the UK people have to act like dicks so they get closed

Dayam…let homeless sleep in shit and urine smelling pods. Don’t think they’d like that.

    4. If you open more youth centres and parks and arcades for teenagers to go to, they won’t linger and mess up some toilets.

    5. Why does everyone think if we had games arcades and youth centers crime would just end? I don’t understand it.

In reality it would just mean more places for teenagers to gather and stab each other.
