The James Bay complex in northern Quebec has a capacity of 15400 MW, I think it should be on this list.

  2. Totalitarianism has a few perks, one is being able to foecebly displace over one million people to build a single huge dam that generates more power than many nations

I visited Itaipu before it was a dam (it was Sete Quedas/Seven Falls) and after that. It’s has been a tourist attraction for decades, even for people who usually have no interest about this type of project.

“Can power 18.4 million homes for a year” — I’d hope it can do so for more than a year, or that’s a crap piece of infrastructure.

(The correct statement may be “Can power 18.4 million homes”)

What does the image mean by “18.4M homes for a year?” That doesn’t make any sense.
