      Damaging other people’s things, and/or breaking the law, is OK as long as it is motivated by a cause I personally agree with.

      Wish the article would say how the defence outlined their case, on the face of it the decision of the jury seems completely bizarre

      I do wonder if the same people who would cheer this result would cheer equally if the cause being promoted by the defendant was one they disagreed with….

    5. Surprising that the juries seem to be quite sympathetic to these groups, despite it seeming that most people oppose them.

      Such a ridiculous ideas to just stop all oil production overnight. It’s an absolutely childish movement that operates on a fairytale understanding of supply chains and energy production.

      Same as the Coulston case. You’re free to damage stuff in this country if your politics ticks the right boxes

    8. If only there was a legitimate way to achieve change backed by the majority… say by standing in an election, passing laws etc. 

      JSO are in it for the likes not the change.
