In for an exciting decade plus of Sinner and Alcaraz. That match yesterday was exquisite.

I’m surprised, I thought Murray had more than that

Its sad that both Nadal and Federer have recently retired, they’re the two that got me into watching Tennis. The big 3 have dominated Men’s Tennis so much the past 20 years. Its just kind of weird to watch now.

Only non-European / non-American players to win a GS in this time bracket are both from Argentina
Of the last 84 GS titles, 82 were won by Europeans. Same 2 guys. This one is more of a reflection of the state of US tennis.

If you think this is absurd, rewind it a year and a half and it’s 66 to 15. The 1990s was not a good decade for future men’s tennis babies. Thiem and Medvedev at 1 GS each. The new guys are beyond Y2k.

Poor Wawrinka.
Murray at least sometimes gets lumped in with Joker, Federer, and Nadal and included in the “Big 4”–but nobody remembers Wawrinka and his impressive 3 grand slam wins against Nadal, Joker, and Joker.

58 – 10 Big 3 vs Rest between RG 2005 (Rafas first and RG 2022 (Rafas last). That excludes Feds First 4 and Novaks last 4. That was the true big 3 era.

Fair. Good reasearch.
However, I hadn’t even remembered that Wawrinka won a single GS title, much less three. I knew Murray had several.

Andy Roddick turned that one win into a relationship with Mandy Moore and marriage to Brooklyn Decker.

Wild so obviously heard of nadal and federer but I’ve never seen the other guy.

I think it’s a stretch to be counting the Big 3 era from the time any of them won a grand slam to now. I think the Big 3 era is the era in which all three were primary contenders for slams (barring injury). So to crudely use calendar years, I think the Big 3 era is 2007 to 2019. My definition might be overly restrictive but yours is way too loose IMO. There definitely no point in counting things that happened after one of the three retired.
