Hello Everyone, I’m from Portugal and I’ve been visiting Norway these last few days and today I was walking around Bergen and I just started hearing a siren and every single phone of people that were on the street also start warning you with a really annoying alarm sound!
When I started hearing this and after my phone started ringing I can say that my heart stopped for a few seconds until I read that it was a TEST!
Does this usually happens much often here?

Twice a year, in January and June. The cell phone warnings are relatively new, the street sirens are old
the second wednesday of January and June at 12:00
If you didnt like it, dont go to Sweden, as they do it twice as often as us. They only have the sirens though, they dont use phone alerts
But remember that it is the intention of the test, to check whether people do actually care if there is an emergency. If you got shocked that’s alright, that means that if the real deal hits, you would also act.
They mention the test in all common news sources in Norway and many people online also talk about it. I dont expect all travelers to have catched it though.
