    Roman is going to be such an excellent instrument (though I wish there would be a stronger push for another Hubble-like UV telescope, but the sexy research now is on high redshift stuff and the IR regime).

    I feel like saying they will “pin down the particle nature of dark matter” is a bit generous. Reading the paper I am skeptical that they can infer so much substructure information from the expected Roman images. I do not work on strong lensing, but I can imagine there will be difficulties in separating lens structures from other possible features. Especially since dark matter subhaloes should create *asymmetric* features.
