Adjarian with no butter nor egg, and babaganoush, harissa and sesame instead. Sounds like a steal for 19 dollars Georgian culture is so cool here!! πππππ°π°π°
this is more like a pizza but they failed the shape and forgot the tomato sauce

Where are you getting the $19 from? It says $10, unless I’m going blind.

Iβve seen this countless times with Lebanese and other Arabic food/street food. Places really mangle the recipe and try to sell it as authentic while making a massive upcharge. Manouche being the main culprit hereβ¦selling a piece of bread topped with cheese, meat, or zaatar while selling it for 7-10 dollars (like a 2X min markup of what it really should cost).

This is not khachapuri, like not at all, they’ll ruin the reputation of khachapuri if they do this.
Khachapuri isn’t just ok, it isn’t just nice, IT’S DELICIOUS. So you have to be very careful with the recipe. People think it is easy to make, it is not, it is really hard to get right.

But it’s boat-shaped. Doesn’t that make it a khachapuri? /s

it’s 10$, and whatever you want to call it i’d still eat it
How would you all rate this khachapuri that I had at the Georgian restaurant near my house in Washington state, USA.

That thingβs closer to a pretzel than khachapuri.

Iβm all for iterating on tradition, but this is trash π. The seeded crust is sending me too. Itβs like a chimaera of a bagel, pizza, and khachapuri which leaves everyone dissatisfied

Where is the khachapuri? I can’t see it

The food evolves, and then there is this. A wrong multiverse khatchapuri.
