The total number of external visitors who entered the territory of Kosovo during the period January – December 2024 was 6 million 938 thousand 227, based on data collected from the border points, the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) announced on Friday.
KAS announced the data in the context of catering and tourism research.
“The number of net stances was 1 million 522 thousand 890, of which 45.6% of locals and 54.3% of foreigners,” reads the table presented by the agency.
According to KAS, there were more visitors in 2024 than in 2023.
“In 2024, the number of local visitors increased by 4.2% compared to 2023, while the Nets-local stances decreased by (-13.2%).
According to KAS, the largest number of internal visitors has the Pristina region with 205,405 visitors, while the largest number of stances is the Peja region with 591,673 nights.
KAS said that as far as foreign visitors are concerned, compared to the preliminary period (2023), there is an increase in visitors by 18.3%.
“In total there were 423 thousand 282 foreign visitors, of which the largest number is from Albania, Germany, Switzerland, Turkey, etc.,” the statement said.
