I see this so often and I did ask a Georgian but he did not know any special reason to leave these protective stickers on the frame. Does anybody have a clue?
I’m pretty sure it’s laziness, those are a bitch to peel off.

So the window installer can’t be accused of scratching the frames

Maybe to advertise their new windows. I saw cars in Saudi covered with stickers and film like they were showing off how new the car was.

There are couple of reasons people leave it like that:
1. Laziness – Obvious, cmon georgian people
2. Worker/contractor doesn’t want to touch it because afraid will scratch frame or he is not getting paid for it. Usually after renovation cleaning services do that.
3. Sun has sort of superglued it on the frame and it’s hard to remove without help

If you first install the window and then remove the tapes then all the dirt/cement is going with the tapes and you don’t have to clean the frame. But it is very hard to remove the tape after the window is installed because half of it is in the wall. This hurts my brain every time I see it. Just remove the tape before installing the window

I see this across Central Asia. Some elevators I’ve used still had the tape on.

The building obviously looks unfinished so they keep it clean until the work is done. Not a rocket science

It’s the same reason why Georgians don’t take off the IMEI stickers on the back of their phones

If place is still under construction it’s to protect the windows, they peel easy with a little heat after all is done
