Tell that to the Israelis and the Yanks who escalated this war with unprompted strikes.

  2. We were not involved in the strikes, which is good; we just need to stay out of this.

The US and Israel could fucking nuke Iran at this point and we would still find a way to blame Iran

  4. The had been at the negotiating table. Then the Americans and Israelis attacked them.

The Iranian government are bad obviously but the Americans and Israelis have done everything in their power to escalate this situation.

Kier, if stability in the region is a priority for you please grow a spine for once and pull up the people who are actually escalating this. But I won’t hold my breath, more likely he follows the yanks all in like a wee lackey.

  5. [Unlike the previous needless war, they let the cat out of the bag before the bombing.](http://BBC News – Was Iran months away from producing a nuclear bomb?
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cn840275p5yo) A nice article that includes American intelligence.

How long has Netanyahu been the boy who cried wolf over this, it isn’t a recent event.

Why are Israel allowed nuclear weapons when they are proven war who refuse to sign up to treaties regarding these weapons.

Yeah, I don’t think that’s going to happen if I were Starmer I’d make the odd shout-out that there should be peace say we will help defend and I would stay as far back as I could from this one.

And keep the focus on supporting Ukraine.
Let’s finish the war in Europe before we start looking at the Middle East again.

  7. Iran never left. They were kicked out by USA and Israel.

Remember the current agreement (which was signed by all the parties), was thrown out by Israel.

  8. God I hate starmer for making me defend the scum of the IRGC, but can he stop fucking gaslighting us.

Iran was at the table when Israel attacked. Iran was at the table when American attacked.

The IRGC are scum. But what’s the point of his statement here apart from “look sensible”. If he valued descalation he’d clearly not be lying to everyone’s faces and instead be trying his damndest to steer us away from the apocalypse. How can we all watch America bomb nuclear plants and hope that they don’t accidentally trigger an incident that makes Chernobyl look like nothing.

It’s the same with his “Iran cant have nukes” statements. He *knows* they were not close so he never says they were close. But he still parrots the Israeli line as much as he can to try to absolve them.

I wish for a day where the Iranian people don’t suffer, and where the people of Lebanon,Palestine and Yemen do not need Iran’s influence.

Reckless escalation and unconditional support for Israeli expansion will only make things worse.

  9. Remember which country is the only one that used nuclear bombs against civilians.

And I’m sure they are the only ones who would do it again.

We need to seriously distance ourselves from America on this one.

Supporting Israel against Iran isn’t in the UK public interest, it will significantly increase our terrorist threat level if we do.

We’ll go into having full scale Iranian sponsored attacks against the US and by extension the UK.

I always negotiate with people who are violent towards me, from a weak position. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

  12. They were already at the negotiating table when Isreal started a war with them. I’m not quite sure what is expected of them

Can we please not follow the US by bombing Iran? I have 0 interest in US going to war when our country is falling apart.

  14. There will never be peace in the middle east. It is futile to try and work a peace deal. No one there wants peace, they want to conquer and rule.

  15. We dont want to follow another republican president to war. Last time we had a Labour government we was dragged to war (Irag) because they said they had WMDs and it was a republican president sitting in the States now we have Labour again and a US republican president saying they are building a WMD.
