Hi everyone,

I am a tourist in Malta for next 6 days. Please can I request for any recommendations/events happening this week in Malta? Fireworks, city parades etc.?

I understand that some local village festivals on 29th June – which should I attend?

Thanks everyone,

  1. Definitely check out the St. Peter and St. Paul festa in Mdina or Nadur (Gozo) on the 29th — both are big ones with fireworks and band marches.

Mdina will be easier if you’re staying on the main island, but Nadur has a wilder atmosphere if you’re up for a trip to Gozo. Will be less busy in Gozo.

Siġġiewi is a lovely feast as well
    Smaller scale but unique
They say if you go round the st Nicholas statue in the Square you will meet the love of your life

  3. At what time this events are happening (I’m new in the island) it’s better going during the day or night?

During the day, would you go to Mdina on the 29th during St Perer or the 31st? Will things be too crazy or shops closed on the 29th?

In Malta, st George’s feast is the best in this weekend. Sarurday 28th there will be fireworks starting 9.30/9.45 pm best viewed from Triq il-Hammieri Qormi.

Sunday there will be morning march starting 10:30 am till circa 2pm.
Sunday night, procession in Qormi, starting 7pm
