I’m not saying poverty isn’t a problem but I thought sugar intake and not going to the dentist for routine check ups was the cause of childhood dental decay rather than the cost of soap and toothpaste?

I’ve just spent £101 in Aldi.

If I’d spent £101 in Aldi five years ago I’d have needed a fucking trailer to get it all home.

The cost of things is _insane_. I earn a decent amount and how much we spend on shopping makes me wince these days.

God knows how people on minimum wage get by

Oh fuck right off. Go to boots you could have all 3 for under £3. What a pathetic excuse for an article

    5. Bar of soap is 30p and tube of toothpaste is 49p in Asda, you can get the branded ones for 99p.

We don’t have an Aldi in Canada, but in our Walmarts, all the make up is with security guards now, white strips – locked up. In a matter of a year things are getting locked up. And then politicians are trying to tell us we’re not in a recession.

I think they’re going to raise rates again over here

    8. So at this point they really just want to go back to feudal times. They already made it harder to go abroad, made you poorer and now they want you smelly and with bad teeth.

    9. I earn a decent amount and a starting to struggle. Genuinely have no idea how people on even average incomes are surviving now

No one can afford to listen to Gordon Brown these days since he massively raised taxes for everyone.

I’m eating own brand breakfast cereal for my main meal lately just to get by.

    12. Hey everybody remember those jokes about the Brits having bad teeth through the 70s 80s and 90s and went away after Austin Powers. We get to make those jokes all over again in a few years guys!
