June 25, 2023 was definitely summer. This is the first day I came to Norway, and it was warm and sunny all day. But unfortunately it was almost the only day that summer when I saw the sun all day. Sandnes near Stavanger

If you’re expecting weeks on end of 20+ degrees and sun, then no. That almost never happens.
But there can be lovely sunny and warm days. Sometimes more than one in a row.
Just keep expectations low and you can only be pleasantly surprised.

Stavanger has just spring and autumn. And a few of those days are sunny and beautiful

Summer? oh you mean the season of warmer rain

Looks like our “coolcation” will have less sun than we thought. I just didn’t want 40° all the time like the last few holidays in the south of France 😱🥶

We had summer in spring time. So no more summer for you.

Summer for me has never been about sun. But that everything becomes green. And that no one can see into my garden

seem pretty summery to me! (to be honest summer in Norway is a lot different compared to the rest of the world)

Not sure what you mean, it’s been mostly sunny for months now and perfect daily temperature, not too hot. Rogaland Spring/Summer is some of the best in the world, for me. But fall/winter are not so great.

What? It’s been warmer and better in Stavanger than middle Norway? Now enjoy your occasional glimpse of sun like rest of us, and understand that rare days of hot, nice sun, make Norwegians quit job early to enjoy it.
And in all seriousness, duck Trump and all the other powerful climate change deniers, as we’re expecting even worse yearly weather in the coming years, as climate gets worse. You’ll notice that more and more, while the north will feel the effects much keener than closer to equator. Google effects on Svalbard, for instance

Rainy season for the west coast of summer is between the end of june (St hans) and 17th May. In the non-rainy season it also rains…
