I was in Pristina recently and saw this stencil graffiti everywhere. Google translate tells me that it translates to "The girls are raping them. Let’s revolt"but the group that did this is part of the March 8th feminist group, so I’m assuming that’s a bad mistranslation. What does this mean?

The correct translation is “The girls are being raped. Let’s revolt”.

  2. The translation was not correct, it should say “the girls are getting raped, lets revolt”. If i am not mistaken, this was after proof that a professor sexually assaulted multiple students in a University here in Kosovo. That professor was suspended and now he is in court.

  3. Goohle is correct, but gotta out it into context to translate this .Honestly whoever wrote this is an idiot, bcs it makes sense both ways, they should’ve written this differently.

It’s confusing Google because, the first sentence could be translated to both (the pronouns in the brackets are dropped):

    [They] are raping the girls

    The girls are raping [them]

It’s unlikely that the graffiti is the second one, which Google chose

I appreciate everyone’s help explaining! It’s amazing how much better people are at language than even advanced machines.
