I feel this will not sit well with people who leave on Friday and return on Monday as a higher-paid contractor

  2. Good. This country really needs to start providing workers with greater security and protections.

For a long time now workers would have to wait two years at a job before they could feel even remotely safe or secure.

Good. Too many companies rely of being able to sack an entire team at the drop of a hat and then pop the whole operation out to a contracted company or contractors they can pay a minimum or below minimum wage (I know below is illegal but that doesn’t stop them trying by hiring just foreigners).

  4. Does it also stop the (common in IT) tactic of outsourcing functions to a lower cost provider, TUPEing the staff to them, and relying on the new supplier to transfer roles abroad and then make the tuped staff refundant?
