Literally anyone can become disabled at anytime. One accident or an illness is all it takes.

I thought Fox News already operated in the UK? Didn’t think we’d need our own one, but we are like “hold my beer” to America with all of our decisions.
Based on some of the comments I have seen on this sub, he has only gone slightly further than some people here agree with. A lot of people seem to support cuts to PIP and the general benefits bill, which would indirectly cause a lot of people to starve. All this guy has done is say it should be direct instead. It is monstrous but a lot of people seem to think it is OK for people on benefits to go hungry, even if they will not say it outright, it seems to fine them if it is an indirect consequence of cutting the benefits bill.
As a disabled person, I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that I’m hated. The government wants me dead, the media wants me dead, and I’d say society as a whole sees no value in me as an individual.
I’ve saved three abused children from the care system—children who were beaten and sexually abused by their own mother. I fight for them every single day: for their education, for the support they need just to function after enduring horrific trauma. They have disabilities as a result of that trauma, which means endless sleepless nights and being physically and emotionally assaulted by them on a regular basis.
But society has decided I’m not worthy. Fine. I get the message.
Maybe I should just go live in my grandmother’s spare room and hand these children back to the system—the same system that failed them before. That would cost the state far more than my PIP ever has, and these children would lose the only person who’s truly fought for them.

Yeah, he might have been a comedian but joking about starving or shooting disabled benefit claimants? That’s not edgy, it’s disgusting.. And GB News saying they’ve got “nothing to apologise for” just makes it worse..
Disabled people are already being targeted by real government cuts .. to PIP, to Universal Credit, to the very support that helps them live with dignity.. This kind of “joke” just adds fuel to the fire.. It’s not satire, it’s dehumanising.. And we’ve seen where that kind of rhetoric leads .. people have actually died after being denied support..
There’s nothing funny about that.. GB News gave this a platform.. and pretending it’s just harmless chat is cowardly.. They should apologise .. not just because it was offensive, but because it was dangerous..
Any time right wingers talk about disabled people, it invariably results in them demanding that Aktion T4 be revived.
