I think it’s more primal insticks versus a well trained war machine but hard to say still

Well, our Homo Erectus ancestors were routinely bringing down Mammoths as a group, with nothing more than sharp sticks and stones. Not to say that a T-rex would be as easy as a Mammoth, but a well trained regiment of Spartans are also far from cavemen, and could handily do this in my opinion.

Not same but close to size – they have found a “formalised” mammoth slaughterhouse in ancient Arcadia. So if they could industrially kill mammoths for meat, humans can take down a T-Rex
