      Was there anything else besides temperature different between the years that might explain this? Fewer entrants? Higher entrance fees? Increased profile of the race? Was the route identical?

      I was there. I got wrecked by the heat. There were a lot of people who quit or were taken away. Is there any data for dnf’s?
