Utterly disgraceful and a sign of our rapidly diminishing freedom.
While children are starved to death our parliamentarians can think of nothing better than criminalising peaceful protest.

>She said officers removed 19 items from her house, including … a Palestine flag, books on Palestine
Why do the police remove items which are legal to own? The flag can even be displayed on your house or carried in the street or at a protest, it doesn’t make you a terrorist.

I think these protesters are barking up the wrong tree but responses like this are total overkill and a waste of police resources, several officers wasting time with this whilst shoplifters and drug dealers act in plain sight.

I’ve lost loved ones to cancer, if they were fortunate enough to survive treatment the last thing I would do is get in a position to be scooped up.. I respect the right to protest even if I don’t see eye-eye with the cause, but woman is pleading leniancy, which you could argue already was given with the stay at home order.

A genocide is happening but our politicians are far more concerned with imprisoning and raiding old grannies houses of literature that’s informational about the genocide and it’s background
Morally bankrupt country

Forget about Israel and Palestine and think about the actual ramifications here in the UK.
If you use your once sacred right to protest for something you truly believe in, it is now totally possible that the police will restrict your freedom and investigate you for terrorism.
All you Reddit nerds with waifus may well be next.

>The pair said they gave “no comment” interviews
That is their legal right, of course. But if you have been arrested on a serious matter and you give a “no comment” interview, surely you should expect to be detained for longer, and potentially have your house searched?
>they were asked whether … they were individually prepared to use violence.
And presumably answered “no comment”? Of course the police are going to investigate further.

The government are already looking poor on pro-Palestinian protesters, this is not going to help in the slightest. Peaceful protest is not illegal and neither is criticism of Israel. We need to stop acting as if everyone who is critical of Israel is antisemitic, otherwise we are just going to end up ignoring the fact that Israel are committing a genocide in front of our eyes.
