Decree from the Austrian Emperor (Holy Roman Emperor) Leopold I – for the Macedonians and the Macedonian people (26.04.1690)

Translation:

We report that two Macedonians Marko Crada, born in Kozani and Dimitrios Gjorgi Popovic, born in the Macedonian city of Thessaloniki, exposed to us how much the Macedonian people for respect for our righteous work, and with zeal and zeal to our service, with serious intention to prone to our overwhelming.

Therefore, in accordance with our innate goodness, which, prompted by the mercy of providing protection to those who are attached to us and to the Holy Christian religion, we graciously accept and receive it under our royal and royal mercy in every way and kind of Macedonian people, and not all of our Macedonian people, and not all of our Macedonian people.
