      One problem is that in the process of sending a message of dissent, all of those who resign are also making the budget reduction and cutting process easier. Do you think Russ V. and Stephan M. really care? They think this is great I am sure. Stay and resist.

      Painfull as it is, there is TONS of corporate money ready to hire these people. I know NASA started it all. But we have to accept that politician should not design space ships. The SPS shows that fairly well.

      NASA is in my opinion soft diplomacy in addition to the main science part. The world knows NASA has patches of NASA etc. it’s just crazy with this admin.

      This budget is still being negotiated on. This article is pretty outdated as the initial plans that Trump had for NASA cuts are basically dead. The main issue is that the Supreme Court has given him much more authority to lay off large portions of the agency.

      Just always want to point out that NASA’s budget is usually 0.4% to 0.5% of the entire government budget. Less than 1%. All this hacking and slashing is saving nothing in the big picture even if all things were equal….which they aren’t.

      You KNOW “They” wanted this; make NASA unfavorable to remain employed with, have the scientists get offers with private companies, and then have those CEO’s control the science and technology that the scientists discover to profit further or otherwise use for their own gains.
