All this emerges from the Fragilitalia report “Artificial intelligence and the role of technology”, created by the Legacoop and IPSOS Study Area on the basis of a sample survey carried out on a panel of 23,216 people under the age of 75 and from 30 countries of the five continentsinterviewed from March 21 to April 5 of this year.
Italy is in this respect, in the penultimate place (fifteenth) with 50% of the people consulted, and therefore one in two (800 cases of 18 years and over) who said he had “a good understanding of what artificial intelligence is” (worse than her only Japan, with 41%). Italy has 17 percentage points less than the global average (67%). In the first three places in the ranking we find Indonesia (91%of the people consulted said they have a good understanding of what artificial intelligence), Thailand (79%) and South Africa (77%) is, while if we remain at the EU we find Spain is 66%, Germany and France are both with 59 percent
For Italy it is better, in relative terms, as regards the knowledge of products and services that use artificial intelligence, a prerogative of 46% of Italians, which are placed in the middle of the standings, with a difference of only 6 points compared to the average (52%) and for the belief that these products and services present more advantages than disadvantages, expressed by 53% of Italians, with only three points of difference from the global average (56%). The percentage of those who declare they are excited by the products and services that use the IA (49%, 3 points less than the average) compared to that of those of those who perceive them as a source of anxiety (44%, 9 points less than the average).
Questioned on emerging technologies that will have the greatest impact in the coming years, Italians have no doubts: artificial intelligence is in first place (75%, and 81% among graduates).
I can’t find the full report, I’m from the phone, here is the press release: Artificial Intelligence, Legacoop -Ipsos Study Area: one Italian out of two declares to have good understanding – National Legacoop

Francamente pensavo peggio…
Certo..come no.
