      I couldn’t believe this wasn’t an older law – pet theft.

      Especially in our country where so many cats are roaming and any fucker can just steal them.

      Makes sense with the microchipping law coming into effect too.

      My cat is indoor only (she’s an older girl at 13; poor lady had to have surgery after being hit by a car) but it makes so much sense to make this a wider encompassing law. It isn’t right than there isn’t more protection for pet ownership.

      Reading the [original article](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-68021178) I saw this;

      >Toni Clarke, who lives in rural Norfolk, lost her Siamese cat, Clooney, in 2013. He was rarely let out and she feared he might have been shot. But tracker dogs found no trace of him.

      >Ms Clarke reported her missing cat to the police, but found them uninterested.

      So how will changing the definition of the crime make any difference?

      Ah this is the bill that will make it illegal to entice a cat to follow you down the street by making pss pss sounds.

      The government are such a meme
