Fake news we never have enough immigrants, only enough illegal immigrants

We really need to grow up and stop thinking shutting our eyes and covering our ears is how you achieve justice.
It shouldn’t be taboo to say some countries are better than others when it comes to immigrants. Canada objectively has a better criminal record system than Vietnam. Canada will always accept their citizens back if we choose to deport them. A Canadian immigrant is objectively a lesser risk to society than a Vietnam immigrant. It has nothing to do with skin colour, it’s to do with their home country.

more shocking to know there are only about 1630 prisoners in Scotland.

>More than a quarter (26.3 per cent) of Eritreans living in Scotland are estimated to be in prison, he alleged, and more than one in five (21.9 per cent) Somalians.
Wtf, how does this even happen

“Just over four in 10 of the total were from just three countries – Albania (94), Poland (92) and Vietnam (81).”

We’re not told how many Eritreans or Somalians there are in Scotland, but as they’re not in the first list there must be less than 81 of both in prison.
This could be as low as 23 Eritreans and 21 Somalis in prison.

Almost half the total came from just three countries – Albania (94), Poland (92) and Vietnam (81).
Mr Kerr also used data from the 2022 census to warn that imprisonment rates from four countries were “absurdly” high.
More than a quarter (26.3 per cent) of Eritreans living in Scotland are estimated to be in prison, he said, and more than one in five (21.9 per cent) Somalians.
Around one in six Albanians (15.8 per cent) and Vietnamese (15.2 per cent) people living in Scotland are estimated to be imprisoned, based on a comparison of census and SPS data.
The analysis found no other foreign national group had an imprisonment rate of more than two per cent.

I’m guessing those 3 countries aren’t England northern Ireland and Wales.

I’m as left-wing as it comes and it infuriates me that the likes of the Guardian and Labour refuse to acknowledge this sort of reality. The numbers may be news, but the public has had a sense for a long time about where crime has been coming from.
Poles obviously do a lot of useful work too and for a variety of reasons, the jobs they took were available and needed to be done. But the reality is that there is a lot more crime and corruption in eastern European countries. We’ve experienced the problems for a long time and yet a reluctance to acknowledge them, because of a reluctance to call a spade a spade by those who are privileged enough not to have to experience the problems, has meant the problems have not been solved. Worse still, charlatans like Farage have exploited the problems and convinced the thick that they’ve got the answers.
Immigration from Albania took off a few years ago because criminals convinced Albanians they could make money in the UK. My impression is that something similar happened in Vietnam. Albanians flooded the refugee system and the Tories did zero about it despite knowing exactly what was going on. It does feel uncomfortable to say it, but the reality is that there are certain cultures that are so riddled with corruption and crime and with such poor public services (like education) that we get very little benefit from allowing their immigrants in.
It’s crazy we’re paying to imprison these people. They should all be sent back to their own countries.
