  1. And come election season Republicans will talk about violent immigrant caravans and how the economy is actually Democrats fault, and Democrats will fumble and try and appeal to centrists and say “Maybe not all Israeli citizens are terrible people” so everyone will screech about how Democrats support genocide, and liberals will protest vote, and dead Republicans will vote twice, and we’ll end up with a third Trump term.

Haven’t trusted a poll since 2016. I have zero faith in the democrats being competent on messaging come election season

  3. If the best the Democrats can do at this point in time is a roughly 3% lead, possibly 1% if you account for error, RIP.

Still too damn close. How can anyone still support the Republican platform at this point, let alone over **40%** of people? Wake the f up, people!

  5. Is that “beautiful data” or data that you like?

On the content of the data, yeah congratulations to D on barely polling better than… this 🤮

Generic ballots are not very useful to predict anything, especially over a year before the midterms. Midterms are generally determined by turnout in the US. The D lost in 2024 because D voters stayed home

The democrats aren’t even gaining share, it’s just republicans losing share

  7. Fucking yawn. A 3.8% polling average lead is nothing. My reaction to this graph is “that’s it?”.

  8. Texas is redistricting so democrats there will potentially lose 5 seats. Which most likely means that republicans will hold the House.

So, democrats need much larger margins to win.

I’m not paying attention to polls ever again after this last election. Hate shows up to the ballots. That’s all you can count on

God im sick of this shit.

The only polls that matter are the election day polls you SHOW UP TO.

  11. Sorta wild that the GOP have lost a point since the FBI memo on Epstein leaked. How is so many so invested in that story?

  12. This is not nearly enough. There needs to be an overwhelming margin in the general election.

Too bad it doesn’t matter this year. We needed this last November.

  14. I’m so stoked! Can’t wait to see how the DNC and DCCC will manage to claw defeat from the jaws of victory this time.

  15. I’m tired of Democrats always being ahead in national polls, only to perpetually underperform on election day. Their messaging is so weak and convoluted, and their failure to reach any kind of united front against the right borders on pathetic. Time to clean house at the DNC and geriatric Senate leadership.

  16. Aren’t the dems usually ahead on a generic ballot? Surely a generic ballot would have beaten Trump . The problem comes when that candidate has to take a position on Israel, trans women competing in sports and whether or not they are a true socialist. This will divide the dems. 20% of dems have a purity test so strict they will stay at home if that candidate says a single thing out of line

  17. It’s crazy how many people still support the Republicans after all the shit they have done…

The mid terms are being rigged right now. None of this matters, the U.S. is now a fascist regime.

  19. ExtinctLikeNdiaye on

Generic Democrats/Republicans in most states won’t get past the primary.

  20. Democrats can’t cure America of its complete idiocy. In any educated country, whatever is not Trump should be at 60% +. But America is going through what pre WW2 Germany went through with large swathes of its population completely under propaganda or the fear of diverging from it. Insane people, yet utterly banal.

  21. Generic Democrats almost ALWAYS lead. Then they get an actual person with a face and a history, and the smears do a lot of damage

  22. Seeing that political system just sickens me

They get to choose between cancer and the flu and 42% still prefer the cancer

    *Margin of error 4%

This is the same as it’s been since Trump showed up and glavanized the network of village idiots that social media created, it’s about 50/50 in polling give or take between status quo liberals and militant reactionary MAGAs (read fascists)
