      I’ve had a model y for 2 years. I was looking at a BYD in the local shopping centre and the interior quality is on a different level, it was so much better than the Tesla. I haven’t driven one so can’t speak on the drive etc but interior wise it was a very nice place to be and they look decent. The main benefit of Tesla is the supercharging, which is miles better and cheaper than every other option.

      … Not a fan of Nazis and Cheaper options for EVs entering the market… Problem to be compounded further with recent hostile US remarks and people choosing to off-hire close the lease because the resale value of said car brand has tanked.

      And there’s not been much product innovation or refreshes or even new cars.

      Whatever people are saying, disregard that and always buy the dip, especially on big companies like Tesla which can do things (and will do things) like no one else can.

      It’s ultimately not cost competitive as well as the Elon problems.

      Most of the UK car buyers aren’t necessarily brand loyal, they are more price conscious.

      Most of the Chinese car offerings will cover the average drivers needs at the most reasonable price/feature ratios

      A lot of this is down to the lease deals available, after a quick look now you can get better cars cheaper and thats before you dig in and find the juicy manufacturer special deals.

      We both got 2 new cars this year which were significantly cheaper than what Tesla were offering, my jammy wife in particular got an epic deal, nearly 100k worth of car for under 300 pm.

      Don’t they sell literally 4 models? Pretty sure I can buy more versions of 2 series alone. They are not a big manufacturer and are totally driven by hype. Personally I think the cars are ugly as and I really loath the single screen for everything. They were leading the market but they really haven’t moved forward in years. And the cybertruck is just a joke

      I think i said in a comment only a few months ago how i’ve not seen a BYD in the UK and i don’t expect to. but in the last week i’ve seen at least a dozen. shit’s selling like hotcakes.

      China had the resources to pump into all their ludicrously numerous car manufacturers (consolidating now of course), Tesla (MuskCorp) is much too interested in their image as a tech company rather than actually creating products people ***want***.

      I test drove a BYD Seal and liked it. Loads of equipment and good price on a business lease as a company car. Going to be ordering one imminently. Ludicrously fast too and handling was fairly good. I’m switching from a BMW and didn’t feel the interior was much of a step back other than the actual dash which I feel they could have made blend in a bit better as

      Why is it tesla UK and not juat tesla ….tesla sales are dropping in many European countries …especially Germany…I dont think tesla should even be sold in the UK considering what Musk has done
